This is a very hard ware. The entire surface of the body is covered with a thin layer of sesame glaze, and the glazed surface is slightly greasy. The upper part of the body is rounded, with six steps of wheel-thrown lines, and the lower half of the body is rounded to form a stroke, and the hem of the body is rounded to form a loose circle. There is a rounded mark in the center of the bottom, and “Tatsutakawa (hanaoshi)” and Rikyu’s calligraphy in black lacquer are written directly on the bottom. On the back of the lid of the co-cover, there is a kiln mark. The box inscription by Zuiryuusai reads, “No. Tatsutakawa to Hizen, Rikyu seal water jar, Sosa (Hanashii). If this water jar belonged to Rikyu, it was clearly made during the Tensho period.
