This pottery was owned by Oribe Furuta and is inscribed with the inscription “Oni no Arms” (Oni’s arms). The thickly wrought workmanship is truly worthy of being called a demon’s arm. The overall workmanship is probably rough. The ash glaze falls from the mouth to the hem of the body, and the clay skin is softly baked. It is assumed that this is another piece that does not date from the early Momoyama period.
