Height 28.0 cm, mouth diameter 13.7 cm, bottom diameter 10.8 cm, Fujita Museum of Art
This piece was probably originally made as a tokuri (Japanese drinking vessel), but the mouth was crushed and converted into a flower vase. The body is quite hardened, with reddish patches appearing at the two sides of the base, and the rest of the body is covered in ash and darkened. The gourd-shaped form stands up easily, and would be a unique piece for a remnant tea ceremony room.
