 This is a four-sided, gyan shikko-shaped incense container with a rounded ridge on the lid shell and two vertical spatula lines running from the lid to the body. It is an incense container with an inryu lid.
The lid is covered with a beadlo glaze from the front to the sides, and the beadlo glaze on the front of the lid is particularly thick and has a bright glassy quality. It was donated to the Tokyo National Museum by the Matsudaira family from the former collection of Lord Matsudaira Fumai.
