This is a thick, kutsu-shape tea bowl. Most of the kutsu-shape tea bowls and bowls of Iga ware are made in a similar form. The body is covered with a beadlo glaze, and feldspar grains appear on the reddish skin of the half side of the body. In addition, this kind of teacup is characterized by the flat spatula over the bottom part, and the prospect is also wide, and the spatula is applied to it. This is one of the most outstanding Kutsukatoge Teabowl of this type. On the back of the lid of the box, there is an inscription by Omotesenke 8th generation Chakubukusai, “Iga ware tea bowl, Suseki togo left (hanaseki)”. It must have been made in the early Edo period.
