This pottery was probably made between the late Muromachi and Momoyama periods. The large bowl is open to the outside and has a ridge on the shoulder. The natural glaze is applied from the base to the shoulder, and the outside is blackened and burnished. The inner surface of the mouth is red, showing the unique Shigaraki clay skin.
