Height 17.3 cm, mouth diameter 12.8 cm, body diameter 17.8 cm, bottom diameter 12.3 cm.
The mouth has a beveled rim, a shoulder that is pushed in, a slightly bulging body, and a rounded base. The shoulders and body are spatula-shaped, and the natural glaze flows from the mouth to the body. This type of jar is assumed to be an early example of the Asakura Sanchei jar, which was fired later and is referred to as a sansho jar of the Mujirushi period. It is estimated to have been made at the end of the Hakka kilns since the Middle Ages, i.e., around the Momoyama period. The molding is corded and thick. A similar form was also fired in Iga.
