This is a rather thick abalone-shaped flat bowl, which seems to have been popular in Arita around the Genroku period.
It is a rare and elegant abalone-shaped bowl with a design of twelve small and large circles, some of which are connected by arabesques.
The name “Kakufuku” is written in underglaze blue inside the base, and thin arabesques are arranged in underglaze blue on the outside.
There are three marks on the circular base.
