This is a typical Ko-Imari type bowl in the shape of Dokuraku with a “Kotobuki” in a circular window in the center.
A diamond-shaped window is placed on the four sides around the “Kotobuki” character, and the eight treasures design is placed inside the window, and the ground is filled with a small cobblestone pattern.
The inside is also decorated with windows on all four sides, with designs of “daimonos under trees” and “loukaku yusui” inside.
The outside is decorated with a peony arabesque in gold and a thin border on a red ground, and the hem is covered with a design of chrysanthemums and ruyi-heads connected by arabesques.
Both of them are typical patterns that compose the Ko-Imari type.
A double circle is shown in underglaze blue inside the base, and one mark is left.
