This is the same shape as the previous example, but it is a more imposing landscape painting with many more details. The style is similar to the “Eight Monsters of Yangzhou” paintings of the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, and the depictions are not the work of a mere potter’s brush. The rim is not decorated with simple dotted motifs, but with cloisonne patterns. The colors of the underglaze blue are vivid and this is one of the masterpieces among the early Imari underglaze blue large bowls of this type of landscape painting. The reverse side is unmarked.
