This jar is in the style of the chamfered jars of the mid-Li Dynasty, with a twelve-sided body, a rounded mouth, a low carved base, and a slightly bluish glaze. Since this kiln was started by a potter of the Yi Dynasty, there should have been many more Yi Dynasty style pieces like this, but there are very few similar examples.
