　This mortar-shaped container has chamfered shoulders and a floating pattern on the body. The shoulder is decorated with a wave pattern, and the body is decorated with chrysanthemum patterns in underglaze blue and line drawings. The sturdy shape of the vessel has a sense of volume and shows a style similar to that of kosotsuke. This is one of the finest early Imari Sometsuke suizashi.
