This large high cup dates from the early 9th century, when Sue ware production at the Sanage kiln was at its peak. The rim of the upper part of such a large cup has a short rise, and the top of the rim edge has a chamfer of 7 mm in width. Rarely, a cup with a watermarked pedestal was produced in this period.
