This small 9th-century cup has a flattened disk-shaped upper cup with only a slightly ground-up rim. Some of this type of cups have a one-step butt band at the point of contact between the pedestal and the top of the cup. The ware is in excellent condition, with a dark green natural glaze on the base. There are some overlapping firing marks on the upper surface.
