Figure of a horse, enamelled ware

This horse figure is made of high quality milky white handmade material. Although made to order from Europe, the horses look like Japanese toy horses of the time. The design on the body is in the Kakiemon style, with a kuzushi pattern on one horse and an arabesque pattern on the other.
Although there were originally a pair of each, they seem to have been made using the same mold, and were probably made around the Genroku era (1688-1704).
