This is a slightly inward-tilted vase with a deep body and pedestal foot, and not many vases with such a deep body were made in the mid-7th century. The base is of good quality, white in color, and the ware is extremely solid. There are many Sue ware with this type of base in the Higashimikawa area, and it was probably fired at a kiln in the vicinity.
