This is almost the same piece as the large deep bowl with flowers and birds in overglaze enamels, but the knob is missing and the present one is a later addition. It was also recently imported from Europe, and is one of the most outstanding Kakiemon-style overglaze enamels exported to Europe. Both the body and lid are decorated with a peony and chrysanthemum design on the front and back, using taiko-ishi stone as the center.
