This dish is decorated with a design of blue ocean waves from slightly above the center to below, two peony flowers between the waves, and two large flowers and a storage mark above the waves. This design is also highly valued as a representative example of a seven-sun dish.
The blue sea waves are neatly arranged in black ink, as usual, and the peony flowers are in full bloom, as if they were the king of all flowers. The petals are represented with red blotches and fine lines to add variety, and the leaves are painted in shades of gray to add color.
The design on the reverse side is a typical cloisonne pattern and a comb-shaped plate base. The shape of this dish is slightly thicker than that of the “vegetable dish,” and the curved surface is a little less taut.
