This is an extremely rare example of celadon porcelain combined with overglaze enamels, and the design is also unique.
The front table is filled with eight treasures, and the back table is filled with peach blossoms and flowers, which are known as “fairy fruits”. The lower part of the bowl is covered with a design of blue ocean waves in sumi-resist ink, and the upper part is covered with a celadon glaze. The green paint on the peach leaves is so vivid that even the red flowers appear bright, and the eight treasures below are also very lively. If the celadon had been a little brighter, it would have been even more gorgeous. Generally, when the design on the front is unusual, the design on the back is also not typical, and this dish is no exception. The back is covered with an arabesque pattern with peony flowers on five sides, a design not seen elsewhere. The base is decorated with a comb pattern.
