This is a nearly triangular shaped floral cylinder with four ridges. It belongs to the Ko-Nabeshima style and was probably fired at the Minamikawara kiln. The body depicts two cockatoos and a pine tree, but the bone drawing in thin underglaze blue underglaze blue is not as elaborate as that of the Okochi ware, and there is a free movement. The trunk of the pine tree on which the bird dwells is also represented in a haphazard manner. This piece is considered the best of the old Nabeshima porcelains because of the interesting design of the two cockatoos, the vividness of the green overglaze painting of the feathers, and the interesting coloring of the feathers in dark red on the breast of the bird in a light red background. The leaves of pine trees in underglaze blue are also drawn thickly and firmly. It has a circular base.
