　This is a boar’s mouth with the same shape as that of a boar’s mouth with a camellia connection design. The entire surface is decorated with an arabesque pattern centered on a large eight-petal flower and cloisonne design, which is commonly called a chintz pattern.
This type of chintz-like pattern is often seen on old Nabeshima wares, but the overglaze painting on this boar cup is particularly vivid. The low base is covered with two thin lines in underglaze blue. The inside is white, and the molding is rather thick.
