This is an excellent example of a seven-sided dish made of both underglaze blue and iron glaze in the old Nabeshima style. The entire surface of the dish is decorated with a design that could be either a crane or an eggplant, which is also unique to Nabeshima. The reverse side is covered with an old-fashioned arabesque with peony motifs on five sides.
