This is one of the representative shaku-plate in overglaze enamels, and the flower raft pattern seen on the seven-sun plate is gracefully expressed. The shading of the flowing water and the rafts in underglaze blue is a graceful Nabeshima signature, and the perspective is skillfully rendered, with the red lines of the cherry blossoms clearly drawn in. The red line drawing of cherry blossoms is also clearly drawn. All of the works of this period are characterized by the use of fine underglaze blue underglaze blue and underglaze blue lines to draw the bone. The base is rather thick, and the three sides of the reverse side are decorated with peony arabesques in a somewhat crude manner.
