This shallow-rise dish in the Ko-Nabeshima style is covered with a brocade glaze in addition to underglaze blue and celadon. It is probably the best of the seven-inch plates in the Ko-Nabeshima style, with a curtain in the background and cherry blossoms in full bloom. The back of the dish is decorated on three sides with a peony and branches design characteristic of the old Nabeshima style.
