This dish is made in the old Nabeshima style, with the same rounded design as seen on the 7″ plate, but with an acupressure leaf design on the inside. The rim is decorated with an inviting glaze, but this is the most outstanding 5″ dish of its kind.
The reverse side is decorated with arabesques and peony flowers on three sides. The base is raised on a comb-shaped base.
