Height 6.8 cm, mouth diameter 34.9 cm, high base diameter 17.9 cm
This large dish is stepped at the waist and the mouth is held inward. The center of the prospect depicts a single jadeite perched on a branch, and is decorated with plum branches and bamboo grass. The inner rim is decorated with a yellow glaze over a black line with a wave pattern, a wide rim with peony flowers and arabesques in six places overlaid with a dark blue glaze, and the ground is overlaid with green over a cloisonne design. The jade design on the front is highly picturesque and is one of the best among the many Kogutani style color paintings. The reverse side roughly depicts a peony arabesque with flowers on three sides, painted in dark blue overglaze enamel. There is an inscription in the center of the base, which appears to be a Chinese character for “blessing,” but it is difficult to read because of the thick dark blue glaze on the top.
