This dish is recognized as an Important Art Object and is highly valued as a representative masterpiece of the Ko-Kutani style. It is a rather large dish with a wide front view, steeply angled sides, and a slightly warped mouth. The surrounding area is decorated with a wave wave roundel design in a fine arabesque pattern with a fish inside. On the reverse side, a unique floral design and a flying phoenix design, which seems to have been influenced by Kuresu red painting, are painted in red, green, and yellow with vivid and spontaneous brush strokes. In the center of the stand, the inscription “Kakufuku” is written in black, and over it, overglaze enamel is applied.
