This set of ten kumidashi inokuchi (cups) with a design of flowers and grasses in overglaze enamels has been highly valued in the Koya style since ancient times, and there are many copies of this type of cup made today.
The body of this thin, edge-bent, inoguchi with peony design in overglaze enamels is decorated with a lively peony motif. Some of them have the inscriptions “Made in the year of Taiming Xuande” and “Made in the year of Taiming Chenghua” written in underglaze blue on the base, but most of them have the inscription “Made in the year of Taiming Chenghua”.
