Height 7.7cm, mouth diameter 3.6cm, bottom diameter 3.1cm
This is a thinly made copy of a karamono round jar tea caddy, with a thin stripe down the body, a so-called “Seto” glaze from the mouth to the base of the body, and a clay appearance from the base to the height, with a low rounded base and a flat bottom. This type of tea caddy is not the only example of this type made by Ninsei, but there are also Awataguchi and other master potters of Kyoto ware, but Ninsei’s tea caddy is outstanding.
