　Many of Insei’s water jars are oddly shaped, but this one is a water jar designed as a mortar. It has a cylindrical body with large handles on either side, and is generously covered with Seto glaze from the interior to the exterior, but the glaze is unevenly black, forming a landscape. The bottom of the body is flat, and the left side of the bottom is stamped with the large seal of Insei.
