The lid of the box is inscribed “Ninsei Hiyau Tansukuchi Sui-Ji” on the front and “Kanamori Munewa Orai no Gomotsu Sukiyori no Kiri Katagata: Kan’en 3-nen Shimotsuki Hatsuwagata” on the back in the Oke school writing style.
