The round-bottomed clay is dotted with feldspar grains, clearly a Shigaraki style, or perhaps Shigaraki clay was used.
The body is tightened to a narrower profile, and a large, shaky hand is attached to the shoulder. The base is partly burnished red with a beautifully scenic finish. The hand is engraved with a two-tiered wave pattern. The bottom is stamped with the large seal of Ninsei.
