This tea bowl is wheel-thrown in a spacious bowl shape, and the four sides around the mouth have been pressed to form a “nade-shiho” shape, which is the type of bowl that Ninsei favored.
The entire surface of the bowl is covered with white glaze, leaving the base, and the outer surface is gracefully decorated with a pattern of the Tatsuta River, so-called “Tatsuta-gawa”, with autumn leaves scattered on the running water. The small seal of Insei is stamped on the base.
