 This incense container has a unique design unique to Kenzan, in which the shape of the container is varied according to the floral design. On the back of the lid, the outline of two camellia flowers and branches and leaves are painted in gozu over a white-lacquered ground, and on the side, a cloisonne pattern is also painted in gozu over a white-lacquered ground, covered with a transparent glaze and decorated with petals and stamens in red, gold and yellow. The back of the lid and the interior of the body are decorated with a haze pattern in gilt over a white ground, and the inscription “Qianzan” is written on the bottom. On the cover of the inner box, the inscription “Ganso Qianzan-yaki Camellia Incense Box” is written in the Goye style on the front. It was once owned by Hara Sankei.
