This hexagonal three-tiered stacked box has a knob depicting a bud, and the front of the lid is decorated with a thickly carved “ko” pattern. Chrysanthemum petals are painted around the cord, a thunderbolt pattern runs from the back to the side of the lid, and a three-tiered bamboo and cherry blossom pattern is painted on the three sides. The bottom has legs on three sides, and an arabesque pattern representing chrysanthemums of various sizes is painted from the back of the inner lid to each tier. Unusually, the underside of the body of the upper tier is painted in blue pigments in the shape of a gauze pattern.
