This is one of three small Nisai flat-bottomed vases excavated from the No. 1 site.
The mouth rim is slightly tilted inward, and the body has lost its shoulder tension, resulting in a long body. This vase has a rotary thread cutting mark on the underside of the bottom, but there is also another vase with a stationary thread cutting mark.
The glaze is green glazed with chidori ren-arc patterns. The shaping is shaving. This is the latest of the Sansai and Nisai small vases from the same site, and is probably from the early Heian period.
