



Biography
Also called Tsuboten and Sosetsu. Soton was the eldest son of Soton, but left home to live with Noma Gentaku in Takagamine, where he was favored by Hon’ami Koetsu. Sodan had a disagreement with Koetsu because of this, but they later reconciled.
He died in 1652 or May 6, 1652. His grave is in Zuisen-an, Nishigamo Shoden-in.
Chashaku (tea scoop)
The shape is in the Sen family style, but the back of the ladle is marked with a sword.

The seal on the bamboo tube is “Inscribed on the bamboo and bamboo window at night.
