Height: 8.3 cm, Mouth Diameter: 12.4 cm, Foot Diameter: 5.1 cm
The clam-shaped rim curves inward, the body is rounded at the waist, and the foot is slightly tall and distinctly circular in shape, making this a tea bowl with a gentle, understated style for a Dōnyū piece. The curtain glaze is thickly applied down to the middle of the exterior body. Four brushstroke marks remain on the footring, and a “Raku” seal is stamped inside the footring, though it is not clearly visible. On the underside of the inner box lid, Jushinsai has inscribed “Nonkou Black Tea Bowl, Left (Seal).”
