This ware was excavated from a medieval cemetery in Hino-Otani as a warehouse bone ware, and is one of the best examples of early ash glazed four-mimi jars in Seto. It is one of the best examples of early ash-glazed four-lobed jars from Seto. It shows the strong form of a typical early four-lobed jar with a small base, with the mouth turned outward and the shoulders stretched tightly. The vessel is molded in a ring-forming technique, and the surface is shaped. The ash glaze is single and uneven due to the brush application, and although it is well fused, it shows a strong oil tone that flows well. The base is relatively thin and not very firm.
