This ware was excavated from the slopes of Mount Pottsuri, Tangakuyama, together with an ash-glazed plum vase and other vessels, and was used as a warehouse bone ware. It was used as a kurakotsu (bone ware). The base is a fine, dense, almost white clay of high quality. The ash glaze is applied thinly by brush over the entire surface, giving it a light green color, but the shoulder portion is slightly thicker and shows a shiny and beautiful curvature. The shoulder is rather thick and shows beautiful curves with a glossy finish.
