15th century
Height 16.8 cm, mouth diameter 12.0 cm, body diameter 7.8 cm, bottom diameter 8.5 cm
This is an early example of an early Buddhist vase, and the oral part has not yet been opened very wide. Correspondingly, the foot of the pedestal is also not wide open, indicating that the vase was formed in consideration of the equilibrium of the shape. The ash glaze is thick and stable with the addition of feldspar, and shows a beautiful green coloration due to reduction. This is an excellent example of a simple yet beautiful vase.
