This is an incense burner belonging to the family of incense burners and dates from the middle of the 14th century, the peak of the Kosedo period. It is rather small in size, and the shape of the mouth has been considerably altered from the standardized type. It is made of yellowish-white, rather rough clay, and the head is decorated with chinkansen. The head is decorated with sunken lines. The entire surface is covered with iron glaze, except for the bottom and the three legs, which have a yellowish-brown color due to oxidative firing.
