This is one of the most common cooking utensils, also called Taihei-bachi or Kneaded-bachi, and was fired together with plates in common mountain tea bowls and small plates. It is made of coarse clay containing a large amount of feldspar, and has a water-ground shape with a high base. The firing is very good, with feldspar spouting all over the surface. The smoked ware has a dark brown color due to the large amount of carbon absorbed.
