 This is the oldest known four-mimi jar from Tokoname known today. Like the sutra jar described above, its basic shape is that of a medium-sized jar, and it does not have a base. It is likely to have been made for a special purpose, as it is decorated with four longitudinal ears on the shoulders and a three-stripe parallel sunken line pattern on the body.
