Wakamiya Shukokan
This jar was passed down through the Wakamiya family, a family of the Hakusan Shrine in Gujo County, Gifu Prefecture, and the surface of the jar shows the familiar tone of a terrestrially produced product. It is fired in iron-rich, low refractory clay, and has a relatively wide rim band.
It is a large jar with dark green natural glaze on the shoulders, giving it a massive appearance.
