This bowl has an inward-facing mouth rim, part of which has a one-sided mouthpiece. In addition to these small spouted bowls, some kataguchi-guchi pots have a larger spout on the side.
The clay used for this bowl has a high iron content and is very well tempered, giving it a brownish-brown color, with a yellowish-green natural glaze around the mouth rim.
