This is a rare four-mimi jar from the Atsumi ware. It is thought to have been made in the 13th century, judging from the short-necked shape of the jar, in which the shoulders have lost their tension and the entire body is rounded. The clay is relatively viscous, yellowish-white, and of high quality. The outer surface of the joint on the lower half of the body is covered with a coarse grid pattern. The shoulders are covered with natural glaze, but the firing is a little weak and the glaze has a sesame-like appearance and has not yet fully melted.
