This is a folk kiln blue-and-white porcelain produced in Jingdezhen during the Ming dynasty in China, featuring a spiral cloud pattern with pavilions and dragons. It is also called “cloud cart. It was originally made for incense burners and fire pits, but many of them were highly prized by Japanese tea masters and used for tea bowls. Rarely, some of them are decorated with red painting. There is a Chinese dyed tea bowl called Izutsuya Tea Bowl, which was originally owned by Izutsuya in Kyoto and later entered the Maeda family.
