Specialty. Raku ware tea bowl, black, made in the air. The mouth of this black cylindrical tea bowl is partially disconnected, and a half-moon scene appears in the yellow glaze inside and outside in the vicinity of the mouth, which is probably why it was so named. All of the glaze except for the half-moon scene is black with a beautiful luster, and there is an engraved name of Koho in yellow glaze on the side of the base. It was in the collection of the Takeda family of Osaka, then passed through the Okumura family, Matsunaga Kousetsu, and Toda Rogin before entering the Sano family in 1901 (Meiji 34). (Taisho Meikikan)
