Koto
Koto

Specialty. Raku ware tea bowl, red, by Chojiro. Koto is the second rank of the blind official examiner, and this tea bowl is said to have been named after one of the seven types of Chojiro examiners. This tea bowl has a kind of strange taste in that it is not hard-fired like other Chojiro tea bowls, and is a tea bowl with a wabi-style taste that is worthy of its name. Originally owned by Sotan, it was later transferred to Omi Hanbei in Osaka, and later entered the Yamaguchi family in the same area.
